Helmsmen instruction
Shown here is the route from Aegir to the finish line. The shore of the rowing course will be set on Saturday 23rd November 2024 at 18:00 depending on the wind direction. When leaving from Aegir, you will go under the Sontbrug and then you can immediately take the first right turn to enter the Ems Canal. From here it is only straight on to the start, with the Borgbrug on the way. Be careful of oncoming traffic at both bridges, rowers coming from Aegir have priority. You must cross the finish line at least 45 minutes before the start. From the finish it is 6 km to the start.
Pre-start area
You must be in the pre-start area at least 15 minutes before the start time of the field. After the start, you will have until the next bridge (Max. 2 km) to warm up and get ready for the start. The Lowest start number will start first.
The Race
The start is in the order of the draw, the start difference is 15 seconds. A start difference of 1 to 2 minutes may be maintained between the different categories. If a crew is run up, it must have turned before the tip of the running crew overlaps with the stern of the slower boat.
